Bosch Appliances We Repair

Bosch Dishwashers

Most of our Bosch calls are dishwashers from the 100, 300, 500, 800 and Benchmark series. Bosch dishwashers are quiet and efficient, and their design is consistent across models, which makes them very repairable. Typical repairs are drain pumps, circulation pumps with built-in heaters, inlet valves, door hinges and springs, leak protection float switches and control modules. An E15 or E24 code is the most common reason we’re called. See our Bosch dishwasher repair page for draining and cleaning tips.

Bosch Washers and Dryers

Bosch compact 24-inch washers and dryers fit the narrow laundry closets in many condos. Washers come to us with drain pump blockages, door lock faults, worn shock absorbers or bearings, and fill problems. Bosch condensing dryers need their lint filters and condenser kept clean; when they aren’t, the dryer runs long and stops early. We replace pumps, door locks, heating elements, sensors and belts. Bosch Wall Ovens, Ranges and Cooktops

We repair Bosch electric wall ovens, slide-in electric ranges and induction cooktops: bake and convection elements, convection fans, temperature sensors, door locks and touch controls. We work on electric models only; for gas Bosch appliances, contact a licensed gas technician. Visit oven and stove repair for more.

Bosch Refrigerators

Bosch counter-depth and built-in fridges usually need fan motors, defrost parts, door seals or control work. Bosch doesn’t publish a public list of fridge display codes, so we diagnose by testing rather than by code.

Bosch Dishwasher Leak Protection

Bosch dishwashers sit on a base pan with a float switch. When water collects in the pan, the float rises, the dishwasher stops filling, runs its drain pump and shows E15. Bosch’s own guidance is to turn off the water supply and have the unit checked. Tilting the dishwasher to dry the pan may clear the code, but the leak that caused it, often a cracked hose, pump seal or door gasket, will set it off again. We find the actual leak and fix it.

Bosch Error Codes

Bosch’s owner support pages and manuals explain these codes. Codes differ by model and series, so confirm yours in the manual.

ApplianceCodeWhat it means
WasherE18 / F18Not draining: pump or drain hose blocked
WasherE17 / F17Water supply time exceeded
DryerE01 / E02Lint filter blocked
DryerContainer indicator †Condensate container full (condenser models)
DishwasherE15Water in the base: leak protection activated
DishwasherE24Not draining: drain hose blocked or kinked
Oven and RangeE011 †A key is being read as continuously pressed
Oven and RangeE005 / E305 †Communication error between control modules

For most Bosch dishwasher drain codes, the first checks are the filter, the drain hose and, on a new install, the knockout plug inside a food waste disposer. If the code returns, book a repair.

For more Bosch codes alongside other brands, see our full washer error codes, dryer error codes, dishwasher error codes and oven and range error codes tables, which also list what to try first. Codes marked † come from a manual or parts-supplier listing, so confirm them in your owner’s manual.

Finding Your Bosch Model Number

Bosch model numbers start with letters like SHX, SHE, SHP or SHV for dishwashers, WAT or WAW for washers, WTG or WTW for dryers and HBL or HBE for wall ovens. Look for the E-Nr (model) and FD (production) numbers. On dishwashers, the label is on the side edge of the door; on laundry, it’s around the door opening.

Bosch Warranty vs. Independent Repair

If your Bosch is still under its factory warranty, use Bosch’s authorized service so the repair costs you nothing. After that, we’re a quick, local option: often the same day, open until 11 PM, with the price explained before any work begins.

Pricing, Warranty and Areas

A Bosch diagnosis costs $70, which we waive when you choose the repair. Our work is covered for 3 to 6 months depending on the job. We serve Toronto, North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke, and accept cash, credit, debit and Interac e-Transfer. Holiday visits cost the same as weekday visits.

Bosch Repair FAQ

What does E15 mean on a Bosch dishwasher?

E15 means water has collected in the base and the leak protection float has been triggered. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher and book a repair. Drying the base may clear the code temporarily, but the leak behind it, such as a hose, seal or gasket, still needs to be found.

Why won’t my Bosch dishwasher drain?

The most common causes are a clogged filter, a blocked drain pump or a kinked drain hose, which Bosch flags as E24 or E25. Clean the filter, check the hose, and on a new install make sure the disposer knockout plug was removed. If it still won’t drain, the drain pump likely needs replacing.

Are Bosch dishwashers worth repairing?

Usually yes. Bosch dishwashers are well built, and drain pumps, inlet valves, door springs and float switches are affordable repairs. Even a heat pump replacement often makes sense on a mid- or high-end model. We’ll tell you if a repair approaches the cost of a new unit.

Why does my Bosch dryer stop with a lint filter warning?

Bosch dryers show E01 or E02 when the lint filter is blocked. Remove the lint, rinse the filter under warm water, let it dry completely and reinsert it. On condensing models, also clean the condenser as your manual describes. If the warning persists, a sensor may be faulty.

Do you repair Bosch gas cooktops?

No. We repair Bosch electric wall ovens, ranges and induction cooktops only, and we don’t do any gas appliance work. For a Bosch gas cooktop or range, please contact a licensed gas technician. If you smell gas, leave the home and call your gas utility from outside.
