Electrolux Appliances We Repair
Electrolux Washers
Electrolux front-loaders are reliable but sensitive to drain and door problems. We replace drain pumps, door lock assemblies, inlet valves, door boots, shock absorbers and control boards. A sock caught in the pump is a frequent cause of slow draining and an E21 code. See Electrolux washer repair.
Electrolux Dryers
Electrolux electric dryers usually come to us with no heat, long drying times or a door that won’t register as closed. We replace heating elements, thermal fuses, thermostats, belts, rollers and humidity sensors, and check the vent run for blockages. We service electric dryers only; for a gas dryer, please contact a licensed gas technician. More on our Electrolux dryer service page.
Electrolux Refrigerators
We repair Electrolux French-door, side-by-side and column fridges and freezers. Typical jobs include evaporator fans, defrost heaters and sensors, ice makers, water valves and control boards. Our Electrolux refrigerator repair page covers warm-fridge problems.
Electrolux Dishwashers and Ovens
Electrolux dishwashers commonly need drain pumps, inlet valves, door latches or filter and sump cleaning. On Electrolux electric wall ovens and ranges, we replace bake, broil and convection elements, temperature sensors, door locks and touch controls. See dishwasher repair for draining and cleaning tips.
Electrolux and Frigidaire
Electrolux owns Frigidaire, and in North America the two brands share a lot of engineering. Frigidaire Professional and Gallery models and Electrolux appliances from the same period often use the same oven controls, dishwasher pumps and fridge parts, and they share code families such as the dishwasher i-codes and oven F-codes. Our technicians work on both every week, which helps when a part is back-ordered and the same part number is available under the other brand. Read more on our Frigidaire appliance repair page.
Electrolux Error Codes
Electrolux’s owner support pages explain these codes. Codes vary between models, so check your owner’s manual too.
| Appliance | Code | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator | PF | Power outage or surge |
| Refrigerator | H / HI | High temperature for over an hour |
| Washer | E11 | Washer isn’t filling during the wash |
| Washer | E21 † | Long pump-out (drain) time |
| Dryer | EF1 | Ventilation blockage |
| Dryer | E42 | Door open |
| Dishwasher | i10 † | Water inlet problem: no water coming in |
| Dishwasher | i20 | Did not drain properly |
| Oven and Range | F10 | Thermal runaway: oven hotter than normal |
| Oven and Range | F30 | Open oven temperature probe/sensor circuit |
For dishwasher codes, Electrolux suggests holding Cancel or turning off power for a few minutes to reset after the cause is cleared. Oven codes can often be cleared once by cutting power at the breaker for 30 seconds; if the code returns, book a repair.
For more Electrolux codes alongside other brands, see our full washer error codes, dryer error codes, dishwasher error codes, oven and range error codes and refrigerator error codes tables, which also list what to try first. Codes marked † come from a manual or parts-supplier listing, so confirm them in your owner’s manual.
Finding Your Electrolux Model Number
Electrolux model numbers typically start with E: EFLS or ELFW for washers, EFME or ELFE for electric dryers, EW or EI for kitchen appliances. Washer and dryer labels are usually inside the door frame; fridge labels are on an inside side wall near the top; dishwasher labels are on the side edge of the door. A photo of the label helps us bring the right part.
Electrolux Warranty vs. Independent Repair
Use Electrolux’s authorized service while your appliance is under its manufacturer’s warranty, since covered repairs are free. Once that warranty runs out, we offer quick local service, often the same day, with clear pricing and hours until 11 PM.
Pricing, Warranty and Areas
Diagnosing your Electrolux costs $70, and we waive that fee when you proceed with the repair. Repairs are guaranteed for 3 to 6 months depending on the job. We serve Toronto, North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke, and you can pay by cash, credit, debit or Interac e-Transfer, with no surcharge on holidays.
Electrolux Repair FAQ
What does E11 mean on an Electrolux washer?
E11 means the washer is taking too long to fill. Check that both water taps are fully open, that the hot and cold hoses aren’t reversed, and that the hoses aren’t kinked. If the code returns, the inlet screens or inlet valve may need cleaning or replacing.
Is Electrolux the same company as Frigidaire?
Yes. Electrolux owns Frigidaire, and many models share parts and code families. That’s useful for repairs, because our technicians know both brands well and a part can sometimes be sourced under either name, as long as the part number matches.
What does i20 mean on an Electrolux dishwasher?
i20 means the dishwasher didn’t drain properly. Clean the filter and sump, check that the drain hose isn’t kinked, and on a new install make sure the disposer knockout plug was removed. Reset by holding Cancel. If it happens again, the drain pump may need replacing.
Why is my Electrolux fridge showing a high temperature alarm?
An H or HI alarm usually means a door was left open or wasn’t sealing, letting the temperature rise. Close the doors, check the gaskets and give it a few hours. If the alarm returns with the doors closed, a fan, defrost part or control may be failing.
Do you repair Electrolux gas ranges or dryers?
No. We repair Electrolux electric ranges, wall ovens and electric dryers only, and we don’t service any gas appliance. For a gas Electrolux range or dryer, contact a licensed gas technician. If you smell gas, leave the home right away and call your gas utility from outside.
