Appliance Repair in Downtown Toronto

Our office is at 55 University Avenue, right in the core, so appliance repair in Downtown Toronto is home turf for us. Since 2004 we’ve fixed fridges, washers, dryers, dishwashers and electric ovens in downtown condo towers, lofts, townhouses and Victorian semis. A certified technician comes to your suite, diagnoses the problem and repairs most appliances on the spot. Call 647-642-1414 or book online. We’re open 7 AM to 11 PM every day.

Condo appliance repair is our everyday work

Downtown appliances live in tight spaces. Washer-dryers are stacked in closets barely wider than the machine. Fridges are panelled to match the cabinets. Dishwashers are 18 inches wide, and cooktops are built into islands. Repairing them takes care and patience: protecting the floors, working in a narrow space, and knowing how each unit comes apart without damaging the cabinetry around it.

We know the routine in condo buildings too. Book the service elevator if your building requires it, let the concierge know we’re coming, and we’ll take care of the rest. Most parts for the brands found in downtown suites, like Bosch, Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, Frigidaire and Electrolux, are things we work with all the time.

Our appliance repair services downtown

Integrated and built-in refrigerators

Panel-ready and counter-depth fridges have less room to breathe, so poor cooling, iced-up evaporators and noisy fans are common. We diagnose the sealed system, defrost system and controls without pulling out your cabinets when we can. See our refrigerator repair page.

Stacked washer-dryers and compact laundry

We fix washers that won’t drain or spin, door boots that leak and dryers that don’t heat, including the 24-inch European-style units in many newer towers. See washer repair and dryer repair.

Compact and full-size dishwashers

Standing water, error lights, leaks that can damage the unit below, and poor cleaning. Leaks matter more in a condo, so call us at the first sign of water. See dishwasher repair.

Electric cooktops, induction and wall ovens

Dead elements, ovens that won’t hold temperature, control panels that won’t respond, and broken door hinges. Our guide on how to test and replace an oven bake or broil element covers one of the most common oven fixes, and our oven and stove repair page covers the rest. We don’t work on gas.

Common downtown appliance problems

  • Dryer takes forever because of long, lint-clogged condo vent runs or a failing heating element.
  • Washer smells or leaves water in the drum because of a clogged pump filter or a mouldy door boot.
  • Built-in fridge warm at the top because of blocked airflow or a failed evaporator fan.
  • Dishwasher leaking onto the floor or into the suite below.
  • Cooktop element or oven not heating on electric and induction models.
